Chef Jill Duggar may have acquired some golden culinary skills after all ya’ll, because she has officially delivered fans with a “healthy” recipe including *gasp* fresh vegetables. Several fans think this is a dream come true, because the former Counting On star is known for hitting the easy button with her usual dishes.
The 27-year-old went the extra mile with her latest recipe, even giving it a fabulous title: “Spectacular Sautéed Green Beans.” Some fans were feeling inclined to give her a little pat on the back since they felt she deserved it. “Hey, those are basic green beans. Nothing wrong with those,” one surprised fan wrote on Reddit. “I have to say, she IS trying and I do give her credit for that. They look good,” while another added: “This is quite the improvement!”
However, there are still plenty of unimpressed foodies who still weren’t feeling Jill’s latest mix. “Everything she makes just ends up soupy! Jill, I promise you don’t have to boil everything to death,” one wrote, before another shared their two cents. “Those still look like they taste like rubber bands, but good on ya for trying, Jill.” It looks like the recipe isn’t going anywhere, since Jill revealed the green beans have been a Duggar family favorite for a long time now!
“I load up on the garlic (good for you and tastes delicious!). When making a ‘Duggar sized’ batch we use a 5lb. bag of green beans from Sam’s club. These green beans are sure to get compliments! Our boys love them too,” Jill wrote on the Dillard Family blog. Just this weekend, the mother-of-two showed off her “Easy Baked Italian Chicken ‘N Sides.” The meal contains chicken, potatoes, canned or frozen green beans, dry Italian dressing mix, and butter (like it’s going out of style), so this is a big moment for Jill. It looks like she’s building up her repertoire as she strives to become a well-respected social media influencer.
