Fans Are Dying for Rebel Jill Duggar to Break Another Family Rule by Getting a Haircut

First pants, then a nose ring — what rebellious thing will Jill Duggar do next?! Duggar family kids are known to adhere to a strict list of rules for things that, which is why it’s shocking when one of the 19 kids breaks them. At first, Jinger Duggar seemed to be the only wild child of the family, but her older sister Jill is coming in at a close second, and fans are wondering which rule Jill will break next.

According to the Inquisitr, Reddit user Marksstretched started a poll in which fans could weigh in on which rule they think is next on Jill’s list — from Jill going to college, getting a haircut, dancing, and wearing a one-piece swimsuit — and most of them bet that a haircut would probably be the next move.

In a passage from their 2014 book Growing Up Duggar, Jana, Jessa, Jill, and Jinger revealed that the reason why they keep their hair long is because of religious reasons. “Our hairstyle is our choice and we choose longer hair based on our understanding of 1 Corinthians 11:14-15…while it is a shame for a man to have long hair, a woman’s hair is her glory,” they wrote.

Duggar dad Jim Bob also has a say in his daughter’s hairstyles. He has always preferred his wife Michelle to keep her hair long and curly, and fans have only seen Michell with shorter hair once. Back in a 2012 episode of 19 Kids and Counting, after she agreed to a birthday makeover, Michelle got her hair cut and straightened at a salon.

While her hair was still well past her shoulders, Jim Bob still seemed shocked when she made the big reveal, and she made sure that her daughters wouldn’t follow in her footsteps. “Girls I just gotta say to you, don’t get any ideas, don’t rush to a hair salon and chop off half your hair,” she told them.
