Did Jill Duggar Break Her Family’s Strict No Alcohol Rule and Drink Wine on Valentine’s Day?
There’s been a lot of rebellion among the Duggar kids lately. Three of the older siblings have begun wearing pants, breaking the modesty rule. Jill Duggar pierced her nose, and on Valentine’s Day fans thought she pushed her boundaries to new lengths by (gasp!) drinking alcohol. Jill posted a photo of husband Derick Dillard standing by a neatly set table with the caption, “My hubby is the best! He totally turned our house into a steakhouse, serving me a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner last night! #besthubby @derickdillard I love you babe!” He’s got quite the spread on the table, but all fans could look at was the wine bottle in his hand!
“What’s that in his hand?” asked one suspicious fan. “Is that alcohol?!??” asked another. From far away it’s certainly hard to tell, but if you look through the slideshow Jill posted, you can tell that they’re actually drinking a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage. Of course, that lead to a whole new slew of complaints from followers.
“That’s cute that you guys pretend to drink alcohol like you’re kids hahaha,” said one hater. Another agreed, saying “I’ve never understood people who are against drinking pretending they’re drinking.” “Just because they don’t drink they can’t enjoy a non-alcoholic beverage in a fancy glass? smh,” clapped back a supporter. “So what if it is wine ?,” said another.
Of course, one of the Duggars’ stricter rules includes total sobriety, so it would be pretty scandalous for the duo to so flagrantly show off their wine consumption. However, that makes it even more exciting for fans (like us) who have been getting a high off of Jill rebelling. “It would’ve given me life if Jill’s wearing pants now and on holiday sipping champ! Imagine,” said a supporter. Maybe one day!
