The stars were aligned! Jill Duggar met her husband Derick Dillard five years ago today, and she shared a sentimental post to celebrate their relationship milestone on Nov. 14. While celebrating the anniversary of they day they crossed paths, Jill wrote: “5 years ago today I left for Nepal to meet the man of my dreams @derickdillard.” The 27-year-old also shared a snap of a calendar that reveals the very dates of all the big moments in their blossoming romance. In November 2013, Jill hopped on a plane with Jim Bob in Arkansas and both of them flew to Nepal so she could meet Derick, 29, for the first time. It took Jill and her dad two days to arrive, so she and Derick didn’t get to see each other right away, but sparks flew once they came face to face.

Jim Bob was previously a “prayer partner” for Derick and thought Derick was a good match for Jill, so he connected them via phone earlier that year in March. It didn’t take long for Jill and Derick to take their relationship to the next level after meeting. By March 2014, Derick proposed to Jill and the two were looking forward to starting their lives together. “Last minute, I was going over what I was going to say in my head,” Dillard said after popping the question. “I was trying to play it cool.” Only a few months later, on June 21, the couple tied the knot at the Cross Church in Springdale, AK.

Fast forward to now, Jill and Derick are the proud parents of two kids. Jill gave birth to their first son, Isreal David Dillard, on April 6, 2015 and two years later, the reality star welcomed another bouncing baby boy with her hubby named Samuel Scott Dillard on July 8, 2017. The couple is still going strong today and we’ll have to see what the future holds for them!
