When it comes to baby names, Jessa Duggar is not afraid to go where no celebrity has gone before!
The Counting On star is proud mama to two little boys, one-year-old Spurgeon Elliott and four-month-old Henry Wilberforce — and since she’s introduced her second little bundle of joy to the world, fans have been curious about his unique middle name.

Like Henry, Spurgie’s name is also inspired by a historical, faithful figure important to Jessa and her husband, Ben.
Spurgeon’s moniker pays homage to Charles Spurgeon, a nineteenth century Baptist preacher, who Jessa, 24, dubbed one of the “heroes from the Christian faith.”

“We want to give him a strong name, with a lot of meaning,” the mother-of-two explained before settling on Spurgeon for her firstborn son. The proud dad added, “He is going to have this name for the rest of his life.”
Picking a name is never easy — but it looks like it came naturally to these lucky parents!
Of the three Duggar children who have started families of their own, Josh Duggar is the only who has followed their parents’ tradition of naming all their children with the same initial, as he is a proud papa to Mackynzie, Marcus, Michael, and Meredith — not to mention another baby, who suspect will have an “M” name like the rest of Josh and Anna’s children!
