Uh, Jennifer Lopez Just Admitted She’s Never Driven a Car Before and We’re Shook
Say what?! After Alex Rodriguez surprised his fiancée, Jennifer Lopez, with a new Porsche for her 50th birthday, the pop star revealed she has actually never driven a car before. The “Dance Again” crooner shared a brand-new YouTube video called “Day in My Life: MY BIRTHDAY!!!” on Monday, July 29, which took viewers inside her lavish birthday bash. But before the festivities, the clip showed the moment where the athlete, 44, gifted his lady a $140,000 car, and Jennifer revealed a surprising fact about herself.
“What the hell?” she exclaimed when the new whip pulled up in the driveway. “What is that? Oh, my God! I have never had a car like this. I have never driven a car, period!” Then, the brunette beauty got in the vehicle along with Alex. “Can I get a double seatbelt?” the former baseball player joked. “Papi, that is so beautiful. This is amazing,” she gushed about the ~very thoughtful~ present.
Afterward, the duo partied the night away at the Gloria Estefan Estate on Star Island in Miami on Wednesday, July 24. The Grammy nominee enjoyed the celebration with a slew of Hollywood A-listers including DJ Khaled, Fat Joe and Ashanti. It looked like the Hustlers actress had the best time since she was seen dancing to hit songs “Wild Thoughts” and “All the Way Up” in multiple videos.
In another clip, the mom of two took the microphone and sang her hit song “Dinero.” Even J. Lo’s kids — she shares twins Maximillian and Emme, both 11, with ex-husband Marc Anthony — serenaded their mom with a birthday rap and song.
Alex also gave a sweet shout-out to his leading lady by posting a sweet message alongside a video montage. “Hi, baby girl. Just want to wish you a happy birthday. I cannot believe this, baby girl,” he said in the clip. “Since we’ve been together, you have made me feel like every day is my birthday. Thank you for your passion and your energy and your inspiration and your endless pursuit to be the best at everything you do.”
The dad of two added, “You are simply the best partner in life, the best daughter, the best mother, the best performer. We love you, your fans love you, your children love you, and I love you. Let’s make this birthday a very special one.”
