It must have been fate! Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez just got engaged, but in 2005, the pop star posed with the athlete and her then-husband Marc Anthony at a baseball game. Now, the snap has become a hilarious meme. “You and the guy she told you not to worry about,” Twitter user @goldengateblond posted on Saturday, March 9, after the “On The Floor” singer, 49, revealed that she is no longer on the market.

Fans couldn’t help but express their feelings about the funny picture on social media. One person wrote, “That was perfect GIF usage,” while another echoed, “Burnnnnnn best tweet I have seen in a while …” A third person chimed in, writing, “Deep down, [Marc] knew. That’s why he’s rocking the Mets gear with his miserable looking glare.”

Even though Jennifer has moved on from the Grammy winner, 50, she revealed that they are still on good terms. In 2017, the mom-of-two announced that she and Marc were making a Spanish album together.

“At first I was like, ‘We’re good with the kids and everything, but if we start working together, are we gonna start going at each other again?'” the brunette beauty admitted on Live With Kelly and Ryan in March 2017. “And it’s been awesome. Honestly, I think it’s even helped our relationship.”

She continued, “We’re just in a really great place, and the kids get to spend time with the two of us more together and see us working together. It’s just good for the whole family. Honestly, we’re always gonna be great friends. I’m always gonna be there for him, he’s always gonna be there for me.”

After Alex and Jennifer announced their engagement via Instagram on Saturday, March 9, they both shared the same photo of the beautiful ring. “She said yes,” the former New York Yankees star wrote.

Before he got down on one knee, the MLB alum shared a message about finding The One on his Instagram Stories. “A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you,” the quote read. “No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be.”

Aw, it sounds like they are one big happy modern family!
