Did You Know You’ve Only Ever Seen Jennifer Aniston’s Natural Hair Color Once?
You could argue that Jennifer Aniston has never really denied her natural hair color so much as she coated it in a mix of honey highlights, bringing it to the dark blonde that we all know and love her for. And if you recall the Friends pilot you can remember that there was a time when she wasn’t fully flaxen, a time before Brad Pitt, Justin Theroux, and strategically placed bleach took over her entire life and head. But when you see throwback shots of her hair on other shows before Friends it’s still worth a double-take. Watch the video below to see what Jen looked like before she went full Rachel!

We know what you’re thinking — “Oh my God, she looks totally different without her straightener!” Well, that, and, “She was on other sitcoms before Friends?!” Yes, and clearly those sitcoms didn’t really last long enough to kickstart her career, leaving dark-haired Jen as just another semi-struggling actress trying to stick around on the small screen. It took one strange, layered haircut and a few streaks for Jennifer Aniston to become a household name… and her hairstyle to become the scourge of all salons in the mid-’90s. These days she favors a mixture of high and lowlights to get a fairly cohesive dark blonde shade, and obviously it is #hairspiration to the max.
Although her original mane didn’t bring her fame and fortune, we have to admit that looking at old shots of Jennifer’s big brunette ‘do still makes us seriously jealous. No matter the cut or color, she always manages to look great.
