Jenelle Evans Teams up With Briana DeJesus to Film ‘Teen Mom 2’ Scenes After David Eason’s Firing

Jenelle’s filming life is complicated.

Ever since her husband, David Eason, was fired from the show thanks to multiple homophobic and transphobic statements, she has fewer people to film with — and fewer opportunities to film.

That makes the crew’s job harder.

It’s usually not a big deal when the Teen Mom stars don’t have a significant other to film with — but in Jenelle’s case, Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports that the crew members straight up don’t want to be around David, even if he’s not actually on camera.

It complicates filming anything with Jenelle.

“After the first video incident [where David threatening to shoot trespassers who came on The Land], several of [the crew] said they will no longer accept shoots with Jenelle, because they are downright scared to go anywhere near her, out of fear of what David may do,” a source told the site.

So she needs a new filming buddy.

Enter Briana. The two costars are close, and bringing Jenelle down to Florida to film means that there’s basically no chance that her husband could just show up wherever set is that day.

They’re spending a few days together.

“[Jenelle] is staying for three days to talk and catch up,” an insider told Radar. The trip will air on the current season, giving fans a glimpse into what the two are like as friends as well as a new insight into Jenelle’s life.

It’s a win-win for the show.

But it’s more problem-solving than anything else. “[The trip is] pretty much because Jenelle can’t film with David so they need some type of storyline for her,” the source told Radar.

Briana’s been on Team Jenelle in the past.

When the mother-of-three burned a peace offering from their other costar Kailyn Lowry, Briana sided with her. “This isn’t my beef but I agree with what Jenelle did and completely get where she’s coming from,” she told In Touch.

Briana thought Jenelle was in the right.

“You can’t say sorry and try to make peace and then go talk s–t about Jenelle and her family. … Kail has a way of pushing people’s buttons, bringing them to a high level of pissed off, and then trying to play the victim in every situation,” Briana said.

She’s got her own experiences with that.

“Kail did the exact same thing to me — talked mad s–t for a long time and then [tried] to claim she wanted to make peace at the reunion only to try to provoke some sort of ridiculous fist fight,” Briana continued.

But there are some things they disagree on.

When it comes to the Evans-Eason family’s affinity for firearms, Briana doesn’t see things their way. In a statement to In Touch, she even expressed some concerns about their gun use.

She worried about Jenelle’s kids.

“Jenelle is a friend of mine and obviously as a friend I care about her wellbeing and the wellbeing of her children,” she told In Touch. “I personally would not have guns around my children, as I’m not a proponent of them and don’t feel like that’s safe.”

But Briana doesn’t want to fight about it.

She continued, “However, that is their decision to do as they wish with their own lives and their kids. … In terms of David, it is not my business to comment on his Instagram posts and whether I agree with them or not.”

Their friendship is more important.

Fans have caught glimpses of how close they are on social media, like the time that Briana joked about missing out on Jenelle and David’s trip to the Grand Canyon.

Jenelle even spilled the tea to Briana.

“@_brianadejesus this has been the most unpredictable trip I’ve ever been on,” she told her pal in the comments of her Instagram post. “I’ll text u lol,” she added, taking the conversation somewhere more private.

But now they’re taking the trip together.

We can’t wait to see what they’re like together when they have the chance to just hang out instead of having to rehash a season’s worth of feuds with Dr. Drew. But we’re sure there will still be plenty of tea to spill.
