Talking smack about their kids' grandparents? Not off limits for Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason! In a new deleted scene from Teen Mom 2, the reality TV couple has a conversation about the "old people" in their lives seeking to take custody of their kids away from them. Namely, Jenelle's mom and Jace's grandmother, Barbara Evans, and Jenelle's ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith's mom, Doris Davidson — who is grandma to Jenelle and Nathan's son Kaiser.

The exchange begins with Jenelle, 26, detailing the current court situation regarding Doris filing a motion for "emergency custody" of Jenelle's 3-year-old Kaiser Griffith. The court date, Jenelle alleges, was postponed because Doris' husband had to get an emergency surgery. "I don't know why all these old people are trying to take our kids away from us when they can't do nothing or take care of themselves hardly," David says in the video.

"We should have all of our kids here, you know? It's where they deserve to be," he continues. But it's not the content of the conversation that has fans of the series up in arms, it's the audience. Teen Mom fans couldn't help but notice that Jenelle and David's convo was taking place while Jenelle's oldest son Jace, 8, was playing a round of life-size Jenga with them.

Since Jenelle's mom Barbara, 64, has full custody of Jace, fans thought it was disrespectful that David and Jenelle chose to shade Jace's grandma right in front of him. Though they weren't talking about Babs specifically, as they were more focused on the situation with Kaiser and Kaiser's grandmother, some fans still feel like it wasn't appropriate for an 8-year-old to overhear their conversation about a custody battle over his sibling. "Sweet scene?? She was bashing Jaces real mom infront of him (sic)," one fan wrote on Twitter.

"I don't think you should have any type of grown up talks in front of any children whether it has to do with that child or not. Those types of things can be discussed when not around (sic)," another tweeted in response. "'Old people' come on at least show some kind of respect," another fan wrote. "I really hate the way these people think their kids are deaf blind and dumb… adult conversations are not meant for young ears," another user reasoned. Jace was still smiling at the end of the scene, but kids are always listening and observing. Hopefully the parents will be more discreet next time.
