She’s sending love! After Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff revealed that her mother is sick and has been in the hospital, The Little Couple‘s Jen Arnold wanted to make sure that she knew she’s not alone. This isn’t the first time the TLC stars have bonded over family matters. In April 2019, Amy sympathized with Jen about how her kids are “growing up so fast.” Now, Jen is returning the favor by sharing that she knows what it’s like to deal with a sick parent.

“I love coming ‘home’ to Michigan, 😊” Amy, 54, shared on Instagram on Sunday, June 9. “Wish it was for other reasons than my Mom being in the hospital.” Giving her fans an update on her family and her “second act,” she continued, “After visiting [with] my Mom in the hospital, I made dinner for my dad! He enjoyed it, and I loved making it for him. My mom is doing OK. The coming home and the care she may need is the tough part. Just glad I could be here! ❤️”

In the comments, Jen, 45, admitted that she can relate. “Thoughts and prayers with you, Amy,” she wrote back. “I recently went through something similar. Hugs!” Though the stars live in totally opposite parts of the country, they’ve got a lot in common after living out their lives and raising their families in front of TV cameras. And they’re just the latest in a trend of TLC reality stars reaching out to each other and becoming friends online and IRL.

Amy’s ex-husband Matt Roloff has previously bonded with the OutDaughtered family, particularly dad Adam Busby. Adam and Danielle Busby also had plans to meet up with one of Matt’s sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Audrey Roloff. Danielle recently partnered with Audrey to promote her Always More line. It’s clear being part of the TLC family means more than just snagging a show on their network. When it comes to these stars, their parents and their kids, they’re really just all one big family.
