Extra, extra, read all about it! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is currently behind bars, but his costar and bestie Vinny Guadagnino thinks that he might publish a book at some point in the future.

So, is he writing one right now? “I don’t know, but he always said he wanted to,” the Jersey Shore star told In Touch exclusively on Sunday, May 26. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he definitely does. He’s one of the most inspirational guys I know, so I want to read that book!” Umm … us too!

There have been rumors circulating for a couple of months that Mike, 36, would be detailing his time in prison. “He is actually writing a book when he is away,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s BFF Joey Camasta revealed on the popular YouTube show The Morning Toast on January 10. “He’s going to write his journal. He is going to live his life, live his truth.”

Mike started his eight-month prison sentence for tax fraud at the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York, on January 15. His release date is reportedly set for September 13, 2019.

As soon as Mike gets out of the facility, Vinny, 31, wants to throw his friend a huge fiesta. “That goes without saying,” he told In Touch in April.

Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio couldn’t agree more. “Yeah. We’re definitely going to do it up big when he gets out. Definitely, big time. Big party.”

Meanwhile, Vinny, a.k.a. the Keto Guido, just wrapped his Chippendales hosting gig at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. “It’s kind of a little bittersweet,” he confessed. “I’m happy to be going home to my family and have a nice home cooked meal and actually eat something because I haven’t eaten in a month. No, I’m kidding. I’ve been trying to look good and be in shape. Now, I’m in the mood for, like, a giant pizza — that’s how I feel. Just celebratory, but also sad because it’s been so amazing.”

The Vinny & Ma Eat America alum is currently filming Jersey Shore and finishing up the first season of a Double Shot at Love. Unfortunately, the MTV personality couldn’t give us any hints as to whether or not he found his perfect match. “People are invested, and they get more invested every week,” he said. “They’re like, ‘You should pick this person! You should pick this person! Why did you let this person go?’ I’m like, ‘We were just filming it! Don’t yell at us!’”

Well, we hope that someone gets us a copy of Mike’s book ASAP!
