Farrah Abraham ‘Isn’t Surprised’ Ratings On ‘Teen Mom OG’ Plummeted After Her Exit

Though Farrah and Teen Mom OG have a, uh, complicated relationship, she’s pretty confident that she was responsible for a lot of the show’s success. Last year, though, the two parted ways when the show’s execs decided to send her packing, and according to the 27-year-old, it was for one particular reason: “The producers were mad my brand grew larger than the show.”

With one out, MTV replaced her with two new moms, and it’s no shock to anybody that there’s already been plenty of drama between the current and former cast members. In an interview with Radar, Farrah admitted she “isn’t surprised” by the drop in ratings — and she’s got a pretty good idea of where things went wrong. 

“The two Teen Mom groupies that were brought on still can’t bring better quality than I have,” Farrah told Radar. “I did it all on my own at 16. They’re coming in 10 years later. Having their kids older isn’t much of a struggle.” She also implied that one of the new cast members might’ve had a kid just to get on the show in the first place. 

Farrah had some pretty specific shade for both Bristol Palin and Cheyenne, who’ve both been on reality TV before. Bristol had her own show called Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp and Cheyenne appeared on Are You The One and The Challenge. “They’re from other MTV shows, they’re like Teen Mom groupies,” Farrah accused in an interview with Us Weekly. “And that’s fine if you are, but don’t go on my show that you watched, talk s–t about me, act like me… It’s not cool, it’s not OK.” She even compared them to the movie Single White Female, a freaky flick about a woman’s new roommate who tries to become her and take over her life. (Okay, technically Farrah said “white Girl, Interrupted — but we’re pretty sure this is what she meant.)

“There’s no intelligence there and I actually feel like the Teen Mom fans deserve to have better people fill my position and they deserve to have better quality,” Farrah insisted about Bristol and Cheyenne. 

For her part, Bristol has fired back, and the two have actually started a feud. “There’s nothing about me that wants to be anything like her. And I would never want my girls to look up to someone like that,” Bristol said on Teen Mom: After the Show. “Girlfriend, you could not pay me to be anything like you. Honestly,” Bristol said on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM Radio show. 

Cory’s not taking anything lying down, either — though he’s got fewer qualms about taking money that might otherwise have been Farrah’s. “I could give two s–ts less if Farrah was on this season,” he told the Domenick Nati show. “I have no problem taking her spot this season… You can pass her check right over here and I’ll be okay with that.” 

Farrah doesn’t think there’s any comparison, though, and the numbers speak for themselves. She’s hitting back at pretty much everyone, and that includes aiming a strike at the network itself. “MTV needs to call me to make better TV,” she told Radar. “Asking for real isn’t asking for much so MTV can call me for another show. Oh wait, they already have!”
