In Touch has obtained court papers specifying Jim Bob and Michelle have been granted permanent guardianship of their eight-year-old great nephew.

In Touch previously reported the couple took in the eight-year-old (whose name In Touch has chose to withhold) after his mother, Rachel Hutchins, suffered from a few financial setbacks.
Following the news, the family has wasted no time in welcoming their newest member, “Jim Bob and Michelle couldn’t be happier right now,” a source revealed. “They’ve made the child feel right at home. They treat him like their own and he looks up to them as parents.”
