Duggar Girls Are Prepped to Procreate From Day One, and We Have the Receipts

It seems as though the Duggar sisters are raised (by their other sisters, actually) with one objective in mind: to get married, get pregnant, and have families of their own. Okay, okay, in most societal circles, there's an absurd amount of pressure for young women to do this. But with the Duggars, the family who thinks having 19 children is totally normal, it's really brandished into the girls' minds. Without higher education or even a real job as an option (and no, "concert pianist" doesn't count), the girls are taught to be nothing but breeders, following in the footsteps of matriarch Michelle Duggar. And it starts really early.

For the married daughters, there's definite proof that they're pushed to get pregnant, considering everyone (save for Jinger) basically got pregnant about five minutes after the wedding day. "I'm so thankful for you, mama. And even more recently, just helping with all the wedding planning and helping me just not get stressed out about all that," Joy-Anna once said in a Mother's Day video card to Michelle. "I can't wait to be a mother myself," she adds, shooting a fierce Duggar love stare at then-fiancé Austin Forsyth.

The "can't wait" part of that declaration definitely can't be emphasized enough — at the time Joy was 19 years old and about three months shy of announcing her own pregnancy. But if you think that's a mad dash toward motherhood, it's time to take a look back at the Duggar family photo album (or their social media feeds). Rest assured, getting married isn't the first time they thought of having babies…or becoming a mother isn't when they start raising babies. Because it 100% seems like all of those daughters, Joy-Anna included, were pretty much taught to child-rear back when they were still children.
