In Touch is exclusively reporting that the Duggar family is involved in another sex scandal, following the bombshell report where In Touch first broke the news of Josh Duggar's underage sexual molestation scandal in May 2015.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar recently threw their kids’ live-in tutor, Tabitha Paine, and her fiancé, Timothy Robertson, an engagement party at their Arkansas home — but it turns out that Timothy, 46, has a controversial past.
According to legal documents, in 2000, Timothy was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree after having nonconsensual sex with a woman. “That is something that happened in my past,” Timothy says, insisting he was “falsely accused” of the crime.
When In Touch asked Timothy’s mother, Ruby Ann Robertson, about the crime, she said, "When these young people party and drink they do silly, stupid stuff! A whole bunch of ’em was drinking that day. They was drinking all day long and it was just a big mess.”
After pleading guilty, Timothy received a three-year suspended sentence and was put on probation for a year and had to pay $943 restitution. Then in 2008, the South Carolina Board of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services pardoned him.
“[My past] has been cleaned,” Timothy adds. “I love my fiancée. And I think the Duggars are a fabulous family. That’s all I need to put out there.”
