Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth Reportedly Want a Large Family — Just Not 19!
Keep on Counting On! Joy-Anna Duggar gave birth to her son, Gideon, back in February, but now rumor has it that she wants a large family with her husband, Austin Forsyth. A new report reveals the reality stars want tons of babies… just maybe not 19 like her parents!
A source told Hollywood Life the couple “definitely wants a large family,” but that they don’t want one “on the scale of ‘Duggars large.'” Instead, the two would be thrilled with “five or six children, but at the end of the day, they will be happy with whatever God gives them.”
That’s exactly the mentality that Michelle Duggar had following a miscarriage that she believed was caused by faulty birth control. The conservative Christian once said, “We believe every life is sacred, even the life of the unborn. Due to our lack of knowledge, we destroyed the precious life of our unborn child. We prayed and studied the Bible and found a host of references that told us God considered children a gift, a blessing, and a reward,” she explained. “Yet we had considered having another child an inconvenience during that busy time in our lives, and we had taken steps to prevent it from happening.”
Joy didn’t have the easiest time welcoming her son into the world. The 20-year-old had to be rushed to the hospital after a failed home birth, but it’s times like these when having 19 siblings comes in handy. “Joy-Anna was utterly exhausted following the birth,” the same insider told the outlet, “and she had the added complication of a C-section to recover from — which she wasn’t planning on — but there’s where being part of a huge family really is a plus.” They added, “Everybody came together to help out, and offer support, while Joy-Anna got her strength back and adjusted to life as a new mom.”
Luckily, Gideon has made it pretty easy for her, too. “Gideon is such a good baby. He was sleeping through the night from pretty much three months old, and he hardly fusses at all,” the source said. “Joy-Anna and Austin feel truly blessed.”
