90 Day Fiancé’s Tarik Seemingly Confirms Firing From ‘Pillow Talk’ Amid Dean’s Comments About Tim
Rumors have been swirling that Dean Hashim and his brother, Tarik Myers, were fired from 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, and it looks like Tarik confirmed the speculation while taking to Instagram with a cryptic message on Wednesday, December 18.
The TLC alum seemingly spoke out about the controversy involving Dean after his comments regarding Tim Malcolm’s sexuality.
“When family lies on you, smiles in ya face but stabs you in the back, fux up the bag, blocks you and your girl without warning, but on social media acts like y’all still kool so he won’t lose his IG following … Me and Hazel be just like Jeezy and Jeannie #youaintCainandIaintAbel #youallouttapocket #keepthatsameenergyinpublic #tellemwhatyoudid #timhadnothingtodowithitATALL,” Tarik captioned his new post.
When a fan asked for more clarification about whether or not they are going to return to the spinoff in the future, Tarik said everyone will just “have to read between the lines.” The reality star addressed how he’s been silent for months and has already said more than he wanted to.
“All I CAN do is cut the grass down some so people can see the snake,” he continued. “Snake me behind the scenes but fake the perception that we’re kool bc it helps you? Nah.”
The drama started when Dean shaded his franchise costar Tim during a candid interview in September. “The way he crossed his legs, man, it don’t look like he got a pair of balls between ’em,” he said on The Domenick Nati Show in a video posted on YouTube.
Dean also claimed that he and his brother wondered if Tim “used to be a female that turned himself into a man.” Afterwards, he apologized to Tim and anyone offended by his choice of words, noting how he wasn’t trying to hurt anybody’s feelings.
Even so, Tim was not happy to hear that Dean was talking about him. “I’m gonna address something about Mr. f–king Dean Hashim — Dean, shut the f–k up! I’m so sick of every f–king day for the last couple days I’ve gotten online and all I’ve seen is Dean Hashim running his mouth about Tim Malcolm,” he said while clapping back on social media.
“You know because you and I have the same f–king boss at the end of the day — called me when you ran your f–king mouth and made transphobic comments. And I begged them not to fire your ass,” Tim claimed. “F–k your goddamn stupid apology that you’re so butthurt about that I didn’t respond — I took the high f–king road and didn’t respond to you.”
Dean defended himself in a video of his own, claiming that he reached out to Tim on several occasions to say sorry. The TV star clarified that he has no issue with the gay, transgender or LGBTQ communities, stating how he simply doesn’t like Tim.
Tarik’s brother also mentioned that he only brought up Tim’s name again because an interviewer asked if that’s why he was no longer appearing on Pillow Talk, which he confirmed that it wasn’t because of the 38-year-old entrepreneur.
In the comment section, Dean also dropped a hint about their future on the show. “We need you and your brother back on Pillow Talk it’s not the same,” one of his followers wrote. He replied, “Sorry for that — one day maybe lol.”
