Dean McDermott Could End up in Jail for Overdue Child Support Payments

Father, cooking show host… felon? Dean McDermott‘s ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, filed an affidavit for contempt with the Superior Court of California on Tuesday. In other words, the 50-year-old could be headed to the slammer for overdue child-support payments.

Earlier this year, Mary Jo — who has son Jack, 19, with the reality star — showed mercy on Tori Spelling’s husband after he was nearly charged with failing to make court-ordered payments. The two instead agreed to do an out-of-court payment plan, but she reportedly became fed up when he allegedly didn’t stick to the schedule.

In Touch reported in June that Mary Jo had always wanted to see her ex go to jail. An insider revealed, “Dean told Mary Jo that she wasn’t going to be happy until he was ‘in jail, being someone’s b–ch.’ The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is also officially investigating him for being a deadbeat dad, and he could lose his driver’s license and passport for failure to pay.”

Financial woes have long been an issue for Tori and Dean, and last February they moved for the seventh time in five years. They were also hit with a tax lien in July and by October were forced to pay over $38,000 in credit card debt. Things even got to the point where Tori’s mother, Candy Spelling, offered to help.

Because of this, fans were shocked to learn last year that the 90210 alum was pregnant with her fifth child. “It was a total surprise. But we always wanted a big family. I’m really excited,” she revealed to People at the time. “Nothing is ever perfect, but I’m so madly in love with my husband and with our kids. The idea of adding to that is such a blessing.”
