TBH, MTV Should Have Fired David Eason After He Pulled a Knife at the ‘Teen Mom 2’ Reunion
Okay, so we’re glad David Eason got fired from Teen Mom 2 after saying he wouldn’t let his kids associate with gay or trans people, but there were some serious red flags that MTV ignored prior to this outburst. For example, when Jenelle Evans‘ husband pulled a knife at the 2017 Teen Mom 2 reunion, they probably should have axed him then and there.
If you don’t remember the wild situation, basically David brought a knife to the taping (who does that?!) and whipped it out when things didn’t go his way. “They cut him off at the bar. When David found out they wouldn’t serve him more alcohol he got super mad,” a source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “He took out his pocketknife and started slashing the balloons with it. It freaked everyone out. Everyone just kind of froze in disbelief.”
No one claimed that David hurt anybody, but what kind of person thinks it’s okay to bring a weapon to such an event? Prior to the incident, producers didn’t make the talent go through metal detectors like the rest of the crew, but they had to change that rule specifically because of David. Why would you want to keep someone like that on staff?!
Jenelle later confirmed what happened, but tried to play it off like he was just stressed out and it wasn’t a big deal. Co-star Kailyn Lowry felt differently, however, and to this day she thinks that should have been the final straw. “The knife and balloon incident was enough for me,” she told Life & Style exclusively. “But I’m so glad MTV drew the line.” So are we. Hopefully, they won’t tolerate so much before making a move next time!
