Maren Morris paid tribute to late music producer Busbee while accepting her award for Album of the Year at the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on Wednesday, November 13. The singer gave a tearful speech honoring his legacy, just a few months after he passed away on September 29. “I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a huge facet of why this album sounds the way it does and we miss him so dearly,” she said about her friend, before mentioning how her heart goes out to his wife and “beautiful daughters.” Watch the star honor Busbee in the emotional video above.
