MTV Axes Catelynn and Tyler’s “Heavy” Spin-Off Project
This is probably not the news that Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra were hoping to hear.
Back in December, MTV aired a spin-off special featuring the couple called Teen Mom Presents: Reunited, where they focused on reconnecting people with their estranged family members. However, the network decided to pull the plug on the series — and Ty said on Twitter that the reason is the content was "too heavy."

"@MTV refused @ReunitedMTV because 'it was too heavy' even though it rated No. 2 on cable TV that night. Would you like to see more episodes?" he tweeted earlier this week.

Many fans disagreed with this reasoning, especially considering their successful shows like 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom also focus on heavy topics such as teen pregnancy.

At least we will still get to see the longtime couple on Teen Mom OG!
This year has been a rollercoaster for Catelynn and Ty with both high and low moments. They were caught in a cheating scandal back in February — though both parties seemed to joke about the allegations, then things took a more positive turn when they began talking about expanding their family.
The couple, who wed in August 2015, are already the parents of a two-year-old daughter named Novalee. They gave their first daughter, Carly, up for adoption when they were much younger.
We certainly hope the network listens to fans and rethinks their choice to cancel Teen Mom Presents: Reunited.
