Congrats! Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Stewart (née Bates) gave birth and welcomed baby No. 1 with her husband, Evan Stewart, on Friday, January 31. The couple announced the exciting news on Instagram on Saturday, February 1, and they shared the first photos of their baby daughter, Layla Rae Stewart. “It’s true! Layla Rae has arrived!” Carlin, 21, captioned a sweet photo of her, Evan, 24, and their daughter in the hospital.

“Evan and I spent a lot of time wondering what it would be like the first time we met our sweet baby girl face-to-face but the truth is, all that dreaming and we still didn’t even come close to what the actual moment felt like!” she continued.

“Layla Rae has captured our hearts and we are FOREVER changed. In an instant, my heart was more full than I ever dreamed it could be and we are so incredibly grateful to God that he chose us to be this little girl’s parents,” she added.

“Layla Rae, thank you for making me a mommy and your Dad a daddy! There’s nothing we won’t do for you. Welcome to the world sweet baby girl!” she finished.

On his Instagram page, Evan also announced the arrival of their little girl.

“We have been waiting for this moment!” he captioned another family photo from the hospital and added a pink bow and a pink beating heart emoji.

Friends, family and followers flooded the comments of Carlin’s post to congratulate the couple — including Carlin’s best friend and Counting On star, Joy-Anna Duggar.

“SO happy for y’all!!💖 Can’t wait to meet her!!” Joy commented.

Joy-Anna’s family members, who are also close friends with the Bates family, also added their well-wishes.
Carlin and Evan met in Fall 2016 and they tied the knot on May 25, 2019.

They announced their pregnancy just four months later in a statement to UPtv.

“We are beyond thrilled to be expecting our first child. Spending every day with your best friend and building a life together has already exceeded our happiest dreams. We are so happy at the thought of parenting together. Three at the table sounds perfect! God is so good,” the statement read.
