Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — who recently fought their way back from the brink of divorce and reconnected as a couple — are planning to adopt again, a close friend of the couple tells In Touch.
“They’re celebrating saving their marriage with the best present possible: a seventh child,” the friend says. “Now that the divorce is off and they’re back on track, they feel adopting another child will strengthen their relationship even more.”
They are looking in a familiar place: Africa. “Brad and Angelina are putting the wheels in motion to adopt an older child from South Africa, Burundi or Ethiopia, where Zahara was born,” explains the friend.
“Brad and Angie also believe that adopting an older child will make people aware of orphans who are often overlooked,” the friend explains. “According to Angie, everybody seems to want to adopt babies when there are so many other wonderful, worthy and deserving older children out there,” the friend explains.
“They feel that by adopting a child who is 10 or older, he or she will mix in better with their rambunctious kids, who are getting bigger by the day,” the friend adds of Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
“The kids can’t wait to add another brother or sister to their gang of six."
