The world is a messy place right now. But even in the darkest of times — literally and figuratively — we know that everything isn’t exclusively awful, now that we've learned that Bonnie Tyler will perform her classic number “Total Eclipse of the Heart” during the upcoming total solar eclipse.

Royal Caribbean is setting sail on a journey they’ve dubbed their “Total Eclipse Cruise,” which will take guests aboard a seven-day trip that’ll be positioned in the path of totality of the solar eclipse. The Royal Caribbean CEO said that the 66-year-old was a “natural choice for this once-in-a-lifetime event,” and it’s clear that the ‘80s songstress is thrilled about the opportunity as well!

“It’s going to be so exciting,” she gushed to TIME. “It doesn’t happen very often, does it?”

It most certainly does not, Bonnie! This has been the first time a total solar eclipse has been visible in the continental United States in a whoppin’ 38 years.

As NASA explains, “Solar eclipses happen when the moon moves between Earth and the sun. You might think that this should happen every month since the moon’s orbit, depending on how it is defined is between 27 and 29 days long. But our moon’s orbit is tilted with respect to Earth’s orbit around the sun by about five degrees… Only when the sun, moon, and Earth line up close to the ‘line of nodes,’ the imaginary line that represents the intersection of the orbital planes of the moon and Earth, can you have an eclipse.”

The eclipse will occur on Aug. 21, and — thankfully — people will be able to enjoy it even if they aren’t aboard the Total Eclipse Cruise. Check out NASA’s website for guidelines on how to safely view it from your home!
