What a lovely move. Beth Chapman seems to be working hard to keep holiday traditions with her husband, Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman, and her family alive amid her cancer battle, according to a sweet Instagram post she made on Dec. 17. It can be hard to keep up with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays even without dealing with a health issue, so kudos to Beth for trying to keep things as normal as possible for her family during this tough time.

Beth shared a photo of herself and Dog on Instagram, and captioned it, “Family Tradition. Theater with the kids for Christmas…And Churchill’s for dinner 💋🌲🌹.” Her children are not in the photo, but clearly, they were involved in the outing as well. Beth and Dog share 12 children together, and it sounds like at least some of them are a part of this holiday get-together every year.

Beth recently had to undergo emergency throat cancer removal surgery, and on Nov. 28, discovered that her cancer is back. Despite the health scare, she’s resting comfortably at home rather than waiting around in a hospital for a diagnosis. Dog revealed exclusively to In Touch on Dec. 2, “She’s much more comfortable now she can breathe, but she just wanted to come back to Colorado, she loves it here. They told us they didn’t want her to leave the hospital, but she was adamant, she just wanted to be home.”

Previously, Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer, and her doctors gave her a 50/50 shot at beating it. She did the first time, but unfortunately, it appears she has to face the same rough battle all over again. Thankfully, she has a wonderful family by her side to support her through the challenge — and they’re still managing to keep up with family traditions around the holidays in spite of the gloom and doom. We’ll be sending good vibes, Chapman fam!
