Anna Duggar Shares A Sweet Message For Firstborn Daughter Mackynzie On Her 9th Birthday
She’s growing up so fast! Anna Duggar gushed over her daughter Mackynzie while celebrating her ninth birthday. The former 19 Kids and Counting star took to Instagram with a heartwarming message on Oct. 8, revealing how her first bundle of joy impacted her life.
“Nine years ago today we transitioned from newlyweds to a family of three when our first daughter Mackynzie was born,” Anna captioned her post, which featured precious baby photos of her little girl. “Mackynzie, it has been a joy to watch you grow into such a kind, fun and caring young lady! You live up to the meaning of your name as you are a wise leader! I am thrilled to watch you love Jesus, love others and strive to do what is right!”
“I pray that as you follow Jesus many will follow your example and find the joy and hope only Jesus can bring,” the mother-of-five concluded. “You are a treasure of unmeasurable worth and it’s been a pleasure to be your mommy — love you so much!” Anna’s mom and dad, Michelle and Jim Bob, also shared a sentimental post via Facebook. “Happy 9th Birthday Mackynzie,” they wrote. “Your smile can light up a room and your love for others is so sweet! You are a great big sister, daughter, niece and granddaughter! We love you so much!”
Anna and her husband Josh Duggar welcomed their daughter in 2009, shortly after tying the knot in 2008. It looks like the couple is still going strong, despite his molestation and cheating scandal in 2015. After he went to rehab for a sex addiction, she found a way to forgive him and they also helped repair their marriage through counseling. Anna and Josh recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary and now their firstborn has almost hit the double digits!
