What a lovely gift. Amy Roloff went to Michigan to surprise her mom for her 86th birthday and shared the news with her Instagram followers on January 20. “Shh… I’m in my home state — Michigan — to visit w/ my parents and sister and surprise my mom for her 86th birthday! Woohoo! 🎉❤️,” the Little People, Big World star wrote. How fun! Watch the video above to see all of the photos she shared and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

Amy, 54, shared photos of her feet standing on what was probably airport carpeting and of herself sitting on a plane to the social media platform. She was clearly very excited about the trip! After all, an 86th birthday is definitely a huge deal, and the reality TV series star was also probably just thrilled to use any excuse to go see her family.

The TLC reality star also shared photos of herself enjoying the snow in her home state the same day. “I’m loving the snow ❄️ while hanging out in Michigan taking a walk to the lake, through the snow and making a snow angel 😇 while visiting w/ my folks and my sister and brother-in-law. But it’s … Brrr … Cold. ❄️😊 ,” she wrote. Good thing it looked like she bundled up for the weather!

Roloff Farms is located about 30 miles west of Portland in the community of Helvetia, Oregon. And although Amy and Matt Roloff are divorced, they both seem to still live in the area. That means Amy is pretty far away from her Michigan family members! She probably really enjoyed getting the opportunity to see them again, even if the weather outside wasn’t exactly great for going out and appreciating the sights in the Little People, Big World star’s home state.

It doesn’t seem like any of the other Roloffs went with Amy on this trip, at least according to their social media accounts. But we hope little Jackson Roloff, Amy’s grandson, gets plenty of time with his great-grandparents too. Perhaps a Roloff family reunion is in order?
