Color us shocked. Occasional Counting On star Amy Duggar King posted a new photo on Instagram on July 26 letting her followers know she’s more than ready to parent her little boy, and when someone asked her a possibly controversial question in the comments, she handled it well. “Just embracing my cool boy mom style!” Amy, 32, began her caption. “I can handle dirt, fishing, hunting, I love the outdoors and camping and canoeing and little critters! But I swear if my son ever brings me a snake or picks up a rat I will lose it!! 😂💙😳”

A fan then asked the Duggar cousin, “Amy, what if your son wants to dress up or play with dolls? Is that OK too?” She responded, “We will love our child no matter what!” That’s not exactly the reply we’d expect from a Duggar family member, but she has always been the “cool” cousin, right?

Fans in the replies were mostly pleased by Amy’s response. “TBH Amy has ALWAYS come off to me as the far more accepting ‘Duggar family member’ and I truly believe her when she says WE WILL LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT 💕,” one person wrote. Another follower responded, “Aww you’re gonna be the best, most amazing mom ever!”

Amy and her husband, Dillon King, took to Instagram to share the exciting news that they’re expecting their first child with their followers on Easter Sunday. “BABY KING IS ON THE WAY!!! Happy Easter from our growing family to yours!!” the mama-to-be wrote at the time. Since then, she’s offered plenty of updates on how her pregnancy is going, and even let her fans follow along when she and her hubby went on their “babymoon.”

On July 20, Amy headed to Instagram again to let her fans know the couple had picked the perfect name for their baby boy. “Baby K has a name!!! Baby Dax we cannot wait to meet you!! You already bring so much joy into our lives!! We love you so much, Daxton Ryan! 💙💙,” Amy wrote. Well, Dax — clearly you’re a very lucky little guy with parents who say they’re going to be there for you always.
