Since announcing her retirement from acting back in 2012, the 31-year-old former child star has been in and out of the spotlight in recent years due to her troubling and often erratic behavior. She was arrested in 2012 for driving under the influence (though the charges were later dropped) and then again the following year for criminal possession of marijuana during an infamous incident in which she dropped a bong from the window of her Manhattan apartment.
In the past four years, she’s also been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold on two separate occasions.
Recently, she’s been attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and has been studying product development.
“I love it. I learned how to sew,” she said on GMA this morning. “I make patterns and I want to start a clothing line in the future.”
