Those of us who have been watching Teen Mom 2 since the beginning know that the ladies’ closest friends have become stars in their own right — especially for cast members like Chelsea Houska, who has had the same tight-knit group of friends since she was a pregnant high school student. One of these friends is Brittnee Bawek (née Short), who was by Chelsea’s side throughout all her drama with Adam, and Chelsea even stood by her side when Britt said “I do!” to her husband Alex Bawek in July 2016.

So we’re sure Brittnee is feeling grateful to have a shoulder to cry on as it’s been revealed that Brittnee’s husband, 28, has been arrested after allegedly attempting to lure an underage girl into having sex with him. A local news outlet in South Dakota reported on the arrest, which was the result of a sting operation, stating that he has been charged with felony counts of use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, child enticement, and attempted sexual assault of a child younger than 16.

According to the report, Alex posted an ad on Craigslist saying he was looking for a woman or a couple “who wanted to have some fun.” An undercover cop, posing as a 14-year-old girl, responded to the ad and the two briefly chatted before the conversation turned into a discussion about sex. He then asked the officer (not knowing it was an officer) for X-rated pictures, and the cop sent pics of an underage girl in a bikini.

The two then arranged a time to meet, and when a police officer confronted him, he said he was there to meet an underage girl who thought was 16 or 17. He later confessed that he knew the person he was meeting was supposed to be 14 and he later admitted to wanting to have sex with the young teen (condoms were also found in his vehicle).

So far, neither Brittnee nor Chelsea have responded to the reports. Additionally, it would appear Alex and Brittnee have both deleted their Instagram accounts. This story is still developing.
