Happiness like never before! Paola Mayfield treated fans to an adorable new photo of her son, Axel, on January 13, and she gushed over what it’s like to be a first-time parent. The 90 Day Fiancé star vowed to be the best mother she can be while opening up about her life-changing experience.

“I didn’t know the meaning of true love until I met you. How can you love someone so much? These past few days have been a learning process,” the reality star, 31, began her Instagram post. “I try not to listen unsolicited advice from people unless I ask for it. I will be the best mother I can be for my son but I’m doing it my way. The day my baby was born I too was born a new mother.”

Paola also made sure to thank her fans for their ongoing love and support. “I’m so happy that I’m able to share this new chapter of my life with all of you,” the new mama continued. “I won’t be posting a lot of pictures of my baby as I don’t want to drive you all crazy with so much cuteness.” Her followers were going wild over the precious snap, showing Paola holding onto her son.

Paola and her husband Russ Mayfield, 31, welcomed a bouncing baby boy on Jan. 1, so it was quite the way to kick off the new year! Axel was born at 12:22 a.m. and measured 22 inches in length. The reality star’s son reportedly weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. “We were hoping for a Christmas baby, but ended up with a New Year’s baby, and we wouldn’t change our experience for anything else,” Paola told People. Just a few days ago, she also gave an update about her post-baby body.

“My body is healing great with no crazy diet and resting when I am able. Sleepless nights and a lot of work,” Paola wrote via social media. “To be honest, it’s totally worth it! We are so in love and we can’t take our eyes off of our baby Axel.” We can’t either!
