Congrats Are In Order! ’90 Day Fiancé’ Stars Paola and Russ Mayfield Welcome A Baby Boy
He’s here! 90 Day Fiancé stars Paola and Russ Mayfield welcomed a baby — a son named Axel Mayfield — on Jan. 1, the couple confirmed to People. Axel is the couple’s first child and arrived happy and healthy just in time for the new year. Congratulations are definitely in order for these new parents!
The pair announced Pao’s pregnancy during an interview with Us Weekly on July 28. They told the outlet at the time, “This is the most amazing feeling ever! We can’t believe we are going to be parents — we are already so in love with our baby. We are ready for this new adventure and we know it will bring us closer together. God has blessed us again, and this time, we are going as strong as our baby’s heartbeat!”
People reported on Jan. 3 that Axel was born at 12:22 a.m. He measured 22 inches in length and reportedly weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces at birth. Russ and Paola told the outlet, “We were hoping for a Christmas baby but ended up with a New Year’s baby, and we wouldn’t change our experience for anything else.”
90 Day Fiancé fans likely already knew that Paola and Russ were expecting a boy because the duo shared the sex of the baby back in August. Paola shared the news on Instagram on Aug. 10 and wrote, “We are having a BOY!!!! I didn’t care if it was a boy or a girl, I just wanted a healthy baby and to be able to have it in my arms as soon as possible. Of course, I’m always rooting for a girl but a boy is a blessing as well and I know my husband is really excited! This is an amazing experience now I can finally say I’m pregnant!!! I’m having a little boy.”
All throughout her pregnancy, Paola has been really wonderful about sharing updates with her fans and social media followers. She regularly posted about her pregnancy workouts, which were always super impressive! She even shared a hilarious “baby mama dance” video to Instagram on Dec. 29, in which she and Russ got down with their bad selves and their bellies — Paola’s real baby bump, and a fake one Russ sported for the silly clip!
