’90 Day Fiance’ Star Russ Reminisces Over Relationship With Paola And K-1 Struggles In Heartfelt Message
They’ve come a long way. 90 Day Fiancé star Russ Mayfield reminisced about his relationship with his wife, Paola, and all the ups and downs they’ve been through trying to be together despite their literal distance early on in the relationship. Russ posted an old photo of the two of them to Instagram, then included a heartfelt caption that fans in the comments really loved, to say the least.
“Six years ago we were going through the K-1 Visa process,” Russ began the nostalgic post. “After moving back to the states, I went back to Colombia, spending some time in Bogotá and then took Pao to Cartagena, oh what a trip! I’m so proud to see how far we have come and cherish the fun times we have had together as we live and learn from one another. #russandpao #90dayfiance #cartagena #oklahomanabroad #k1visa.” How sweet!
This couple really has gone the distance, so to speak, since they first got together. These days, they’re excitedly expecting their first child together: a son Paola recently called her “little miracle” in another Instagram post. Paola has been sharing maternity photos throughout her pregnancy, as well as some pretty kickass workout videos proving that just because she’s expecting, that doesn’t mean she isn’t still going to get her #fitness on.
Russ and Pao, unfortunately, suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage during Season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, so this baby is especially eagerly anticipated. Who knew back when the couple got married in October 2013 that they’d be so close to welcoming a baby now? They’ve certainly been through a lot and seem to have come out stronger, which people in the comments of Russ’ post took note of. “Wow 6 years already!” one person wrote. Another person expressed, “I truly believe u 2 were the only couple that were meant to be together and were truly in love from day 1! Real and true 💘.”
It will definitely be interesting to see where Russ and Paola go from here. Happy anniversary, guys!
