She’s catching a break. 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima reportedly won’t be heading to jail for her domestic violence incident. A judge sentenced the TLC alum to community service instead after she allegedly assaulted her estranged husband, Colt Johnson, in January 2019. Dos Santos Lima shared a new statement on May 30 to update fans on her current legal situation and to set the record straight about a few misconceptions. Scroll through the gallery for details.
Dos Santos Lima, 32, was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence back in January. This development was only a few days after the TLC alum allegedly attacked Johnson, 33, at their home.

Placed Under Arrest
According to the documents filed in Las Vegas, Dos Santos Lima “did willfully and unlawfully use force or violence against or upon the person of her spouse.” She was later whisked away in cuffs on January 11.

The exes faced no shortage drama over the course of their seven month marriage. Johnson filed for divorce from his wife just hours after she was arrested for the third time on domestic violence charges.

No Jail Time
Now, it looks like things are looking up for Dos Santos Lima. A Las Vegas judge ordered the reality star to complete the Justice Court Community Service Program and pay some fines, the Blast reports.

Looking ahead, the reality star will reportedly get to complete her obligatory hours at different non-profits. Once completed, the criminal case will be closed.

Dos Santos Lima was previously facing up to six months behind bars for the misdemeanor charge, but her trial date was moved back in order to work out a plea deal.

The TLC alum later set the record straight about her legal situation in an update on Instagram. “Hello everyone! My case, has been ‘Paused,’ which means I was not found guilty or unguilty,” she wrote.

“I will follow the program required by the Court, and then my charge will be reduced to Disorderly Conduct,” Dos Santos Lima clarified.

Dos Santos Lima also explained why she’s not sharing all of the details surrounding the case, writing, “As my lawyer, who is the best attorney in Nevada says, it is best not to comment on cases such as mine.”

The Brazilian beauty even set the record straight about her rumored deportation. “I am happy, as the Court ruling today will not affect my immigration, unlike the fake and bias pages are spreading,” she wrote.
