Say it ain’t so! 90 Day Fiancé star Jason Hitch revealed why he decided to file for divorce from Cassia Tavares for the second time. Jason explained how they didn’t have a “good foundation” and it ultimately led to the demise of their relationship.

“A successful relationship is communication, physical attraction and doing whatever it takes,” Jason told Radar. “Right now it’s time to go in different directions. I think we’ll remain friends. She knows I have her best interests at heart.” The TLC star also said he’s confident Cassia had true feelings for him, and tied the knot because she wanted a future together. “She did not come here just to become an American citizen,” Jason claimed. “She had a good life in Brazil. She was about to finish college. She didn’t have to marry me.”

Jason first filed for divorce on Jan. 30, but they later made amends. According to Hernando Court Circuit Court in Florida, he filed again on Sept. 7, 2018.  Cassia and Jason have faced their fair share of problems over the years, including domestic violence accusations — and Cassia even called the police on her husband after an altercation in January 2017, which led to him getting arrested on battery charges. The case was eventually dropped. Fast forward to now, Jason confirmed their divorce was a mutual decision.

“There will be no alimony payments,” Jason told Radar. “No fighting over anything.” So what does the future hold for the reality star? Jason says he’s going to avoid dating for now as the Army is sending him away in January. “I’ll be deployed from nine months to a year,” he said. “The deployment wasn’t a factor in the divorce. If there is indecision, you can’t build a foundation on that.” We’re wishing them both the best going forward!
