They’re giving their love a second chance! Jason Hitch and Cassia Tavares were first introduced to 90 Day Fiancé fans on Season 2 of the hit reality TV series, and even though they were one of the only couples from their season to remain married in the four years since the season premiered, they still had their fair share of marriage issues. Earlier this year, the couple decided that they no longer wanted to work through their problems and Jason and Cassia were headed for a divorce. But now, it seems like they had a change of heart and they are calling off their divorce.

On March 15, Jason withdrew the petition for dissolution of their marriage, according to documents obtained by Starcasm. The dismissal of their divorce was granted that same day and the case is now considered “closed.”

Neither Cassia nor Jason has opened up about their decision to stay married, and they have kept it private on social media. Jason actually took a bit of a social media hiatus in the months following his divorce filing from Cassia, but he returned with a post on March 19 and when a fan commented to tell him that it was good to see him active on Facebook again, he wrote, “Things are changing. For the good.”

Hopefully, this means that Jason’s behavior is also changing for the good. The issues that plagued his marriage to Cassia included domestic violence accusations — and Cassia even called the police on her husband after an altercation in January 2017, which led to him getting arrested on battery charges.

Cassia previously explained that Jason had a tendency to be verbally violent, controlling and abusive, according to a statement she provided to Starcasm shortly after their divorce filing. “You need to understand that even if with all my heart I wanted to give him a chance, I couldn’t,” she said back in January. “I can’t. Because all I see now is a mean man. He has destroyed everything I felt for him.” Watch the video below to find out where the rest of the couples from 90 Day Fiancé Season 2 are now!
