’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ Star Deavan Denies Tell-All Rumors: ‘Fake News’
She’s setting the record straight. Deavan Clegg and her fiancé, Jihoon Lee, have become a fan-favorite couple on season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. But rumors about the couple, their wedding plans, their tell-all filming arrangements and their future on the show have been swirling online. So Deavan took to Instagram over the weekend to seemingly deny all of the speculation.
“It looks like a lot of information was leaked about the tell-all. I can guarantee you guys most of the information leaked is 100% fake. So keep watching and tune in every Monday,” Deavan wrote, and added a sticker that read: “Fake News.”
In a second post, Deavan seemed to directly address rumors that were started by former 90 Day Fiancé cast member, Leida Cohen. Leida recently revealed that she babysat Deavan and Jihoon’s son, Taeyang, while the couple filmed their segments for the upcoming 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way tell-all in New York City. But Deavan said this was not the case.
“I want to make it 100% [clear] while filming the tell-all, my child was with my parents and no one else,” Deavan wrote and added another sticker that read: “Fake News.”
Deavan and Jihoon documented their journey to parenthood on season 1 of the hit TLC series. The couple met online and dated long-distance until Jihoon visited Deavan in America from his native country of South Korea. Toward the end of their visit, Deavan found out she was pregnant and they decided they wanted to raise their child together as a family with Deavan’s daughter, Drascilla, from a previous relationship. After they got engaged, Deavan decided to leave everything behind in the states to move to South Korea with her daughter, where she hoped to marry Jihoon and begin their lives.
Fans started speculating that Deavan and Jihoon just recently got married after she posted a selfie of her and Jihoon dressed in what seemed to be wedding attire — but she made it clear in the caption that they haven’t tied the knot yet. “Just a photoshoot, we haven’t had a wedding,” Deavan wrote on Instagram.
