Where is Marriage Boot Camp filmed?
Marriage Boot Camp, which premiered in 2013 and originally starred alums of WE tv’s Bridezillas, is filmed in sunny Southern California. Participants shack up in a gorgeous mansion in the hills of Los Angeles. Some of the exercises that the in-house experts — including Dr. Venus Nicolino and Dr. Ish Major — put families through can totally suck, but at least cast members have fancy digs where they can sleep off the emotional aftermath at night.
How much does Marriage Boot Camp pay?
While there isn’t a confirmed salary, it’s safe to say that Marriage Boot Camp stars make a pretty penny during their two weeks filming the show. Back in 2015, former Bachelor lead Sean Lowe admitted that he and wife Catherine Lowe did the show not because their relationship was struggling, but because of its hefty paycheck.
“I’ll admit it: I did it for the money,” Sean previously wrote in a blog post. “First, the money as I mentioned above was going to be a blessing to us. Two, Trista [Sutter] told us that the show aired without much notice, which gave me a little comfort that it would come and go relatively quietly. Three, I still had confidence that no matter what type of show it was, we would be able to represent our faith in Christ. In other words, I was confident we could still shine light in a dark world.”
What is Marriage Boot Camp?
Between all the tears, fights, and looming divorces, you might have forgotten the premise of Marriage Boot Camp. WE tv describes the show as “the most extreme relationship therapy,” in which seasoned professionals help couples and families discover painful truths in order to strengthen the love they have for one another. To see it all go down, watch Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition on WE tv Fridays at 9 p.m. EST.
