‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Javi Marroquin And GF Lauren Comeau Finally Came Up With A Name For Their New Baby Boy!
It looks like all of those fan theories were wrong! Teen Mom 2 star Javi Marroquin and his girlfriend Lauren Comeau welcomed their first child — a baby boy — together on Nov. 15. Unfortunately, since he came early, they hadn’t come up with a name yet! Luckily, one day later, they finally settled on something cute and very meaningful to them.
“We are going with Eli Joseph Marroquin,” Lauren told Radar Online on Nov. 16. “Joseph after my dad, who goes by Joe, and my grandfather’s middle name.” While Joseph was a done deal for “months,” the name Eli was a very recent idea, and it came out of nowhere! “The first name has rotated like every month or so,” said Lauren. “I really wanted to name him something that could be shortened to a nickname, but we love Eli by itself.”
The name is a far cry from anything fans had speculated in the months leading up to the birth. Back in August, Lauren referred to the little guy as “Baby M,” and some fans thought she meant more than “Marroquin.” A few weeks earlier, Javi wrote, “I’m trying to convince Lauren to name our son Scofield so we have Linc and Scofield.” He was referring to two characters from his fave show Prison Break. Since that character’s first name is Michael, people thought maybe that could be it. Looks like they weren’t so clever after all!
Fans have had a hard time predicting anything about this pregnancy in general. The due date has been a big topic of debate, for starters. The couple said they were due in December, but fans think that that may have been a cover-up, to hide the fact that Lauren got pregnant when Javi was still dating Briana DeJesus, and some recent shade on her Twitter account seemed to prove that she thought the same. Of course, none of that matters now, because all the couple is focused on is their sweet new baby!
