Is Kris Jenner going from momager to TV host? Now that Hoda Kotb has officially replaced Matt Lauer as the co-host of the Today show, her seat during the show’s wine-fueled fourth hour alongside her bestie Kathie Lee Gifford may soon be up for grabs — and sources exclusively reveal to In Touch that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is campaigning hard for the job.

“Kathie Lee thinks they’d make a great team and got Kris a meeting with the top brass. Kris is promising big ratings,” says an NBC insider. And all of Kris' six kids think their mom would be a perfect fit for the show — even Khloé Kardashian agrees that the BFFs “together and drunk in the morning would just be epic!"

If Kris does get the gig, this would be her second attempt at a career on daytime television. She had her own talk show called Kris that ran for a six-week test run on Fox during the summer of 2013 — but it was canceled after its first season due to dismal ratings and her lack of TV charisma.

"I think she was pretty uninteresting [on camera],” Frank Cicha, senior vice president of programming for Fox Television Stations, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter back in 2014. But it seems like Kris is ready to try again, and this time she'll be able to rely on her decades-long friendship with Kathie Lee to help her seem more lively onscreen.

Kathie and Kris go way back — and although Kathie could not remember the exact year that she became friends with Kris, she previously revealed on an episode of Today that the two met while Kris was still married to her first husband, the late attorney Robert Kardashian, Sr. — and the pair are so close that Kathie is even the godmother to Kris' second-oldest daughter, 22-year-old Kendall Jenner.
