Taylor Swift Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Dissing Kimye — Even on Her Love Songs
Days before she is set to release her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Reputation, Taylor Swift treated her Swifties to yet another single from the LP on Friday, Nov. 3. It’s called “Call It What You Want,” and fans definitely think it’s about Tay’s current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. That may be partially true…but at its core, the tune, which is masked as a love song, is actually just another Kimye diss track.
Sure, the 27-year-old pop star brags about how her “baby” is “fit like a daydream” on the song’s chorus, but it’s the verses on “Call It What You Want” that are so obviously pointed at enemies Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. “All the liars are calling me one,” T. Swift sings. Sigh. Again?
This is a not-so-subtle dig at the power couple. As fans are well aware, Taylor was repeatedly called a liar and a snake in the summer of 2016 after Kim, 37, seemingly confirmed that she lied about not giving Kanye, 40, permission to name-drop her in his controversial track “Famous.”
Taylor took to Instagram to defend herself after Kim released Snapchat recordings of a phone call between the two musicians. “Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she wrote. Just FYI, Taylor did tell Kanye that she “really [appreciated]” his heads-up about using her name on “Famous,” as heard in Kim’s videos.

For the record, Kim is so over the “Bad Blood” singer and her drama. “Ugh, do we really have to talk about Taylor Swift? … I’m so over it,” the Selfish author previously told Billboard magazine. “If it were up to Kanye, it all would probably never have come out. He can handle it, he has no hard feelings. He doesn’t even really care. I just wanted to protect my husband. I saw him getting a lot of s–t.”
Though Kim has clearly moved on, “Call It What You Want” proves that Taylor is still festering resentment toward the reality TV queen and her rapper hubby. Later on in the tune, the prolific lyricist specifically slams Kanye when she sing-talks, “All the jokers dressed up as kings.”
Of course, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that she is mocking Yeezy and his king-sized ego (one of the many reasons we love him, TBH). While we thought “Look What You Made Me Do” would be Taylor’s final kiss-off to her feud with Kim and Kanye, that’s apparently not the case. It’s time for homegirl to take a page out of her own songbook and shake it TF off.
Reputation hits stores on Friday, Nov. 10 — the 10-year anniversary of Kanye’s mother Donda West’s death.
