Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter Address Rumored ‘Polyamorous Relationship’ in ‘Hills: New Beginnings’ Sneak Peek

A hint at what was to come? Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter opened up about their unconventional relationship in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming episode of The Hills: New Beginnings.

In the clip, the couple was confronted with rumors of their private life. “She’s just, like, asking about your relationship,” Kaitlynn’s friend said on a Facetime call, referring to castmate Stephanie Pratt. “She’s like, ‘I don’t know. Isn’t there someone else, like, involved?’”

Playing coy, the 30-year-old asked, “What does she mean by that?” to which the FaceTime user responded, “She thinks you guys are like in this, like, polyamorous relationship.”

“That’s none of her business. You know, we just, we like what we like,” an agitated Brody, 36, said to the Facetime user.

So, were they? Well, maybe! “When Brody and I first were together, we were young, we were crazy, we were, like, you know, basically just trying to have the time of our lives,” the Selfé founder said in a solo confessional. “So we did a lot of things in our relationship that, you know, I certainly wouldn’t say I regret, but the level of gossip that I feel happens in the group — it just makes me angry.”

Brody’s rep confirmed the two split in a statement to In Touch on August 2, and soon after Kaitlynn was spotted getting cozy with Miley Cyrus. Although many thought the timeline was fishy, a source disclosed to Us Weekly that there was no infidelity. They “have been separated since before the 4th of July,” the insider said adding “three weeks” before Kaitlynn and Miley, 26, hooked up.

Since things were over between Brody and Kaitlynn before she moved on with the “Mother’s Daughter” singer, insiders exclusively revealed to In Touch that The Hills star doesn’t mind Kaitlynn and Miley’s relationship. In fact, the exes seem so friendly that Kaitlynn and Miley sent Brody a cannabis bouquet earlier this week as a gift for his 36th birthday.

“Kaitlynn’s relationship with Miley doesn’t bother Brody in the slightest,” the source exclusively spilled to In Touch. “It’s good publicity for him. He’s still friends with [both of them].”

Although the two haven’t confirmed or denied they were indeed in a polyamorous relationship, the former fun-loving couple appear to be on the best of terms.
