Their chemistry is off the charts! It’s only been a month since Lamar Odom went public with his new girlfriend, Sabrina Parr, and to no surprise, their romance continues to heat up. The Dancing With the Stars contestant and his leading lady sat down for a TV interview on Thursday, September 19, and opened up about their incredible connection.

“I think people are going to be very surprised as to how Lamar and I operate with one another,” the health and life coach explained on The Real. “It’s a lot of loving and learning and growing and transparency. A lot of transparency.”

Lamar, 39, and Sabrina, 32, also confirmed they have already discussed the possibility of getting hitched down the line! “If I had a ring, I probably would have asked her to marry me right now,” the former NBA star dished, garnering a cheering reaction from the live audience. “No rush. We’re gonna do it with a ring, when the time is right,” Sabrina — who is also a personal trainer — explained about her thoughts on getting engaged.

“He did ask me early on, if he asked me to marry him, would I say yes and I said sure, but we wouldn’t set a date for anything,” Lamar’s girlfriend added. “If I’m gonna be doing this and it’s public, we’re gonna really be serious about this.”

During the candid interview, the former Los Angeles Laker even opened up about his relationship with ex, Liza Morales, the woman he shares two children with: Destiny, 21, and Lamar, 17. “For two mature but immature people, me and their mother, we didn’t do a good job coparenting,” Lamar confessed. “So it was hard for us to get along at the time. They missed out on a lot. I couldn’t even get them to my wedding, that was hurtful.” On the bright side, he said everything is “better now.”

Lamar’s remarks come shortly after Liza spoke out about their dynamic. “We definitely went through a rocky stage, but I think after the incident in Vegas and coming so close to Lamar almost dying, I feel like I really had to come to a point in our relationship and in coparenting of, ‘You know what? I also have to forgive him for so much and just have more empathy for him,'” she said while chatting with UsWeekly. “Lamar loves his kids, they love him. But it’s no secret that it definitely hasn’t been an easy road as a family.”

The DWTS cast member was previously married Khloé Kardashian, but their divorce was finalized in December 2016. Now, he’s focused on building a healthy relationship with Sabrina and securing that Mirror Ball trophy if all goes well.

After getting one of the lowest scores in the show’s history, Lamar said he’s not discouraged. “Peta [Murgatroyd] has two trophies, so to me she’s like the Kobe Bryant,” he explained on The Real. “Hopefully me and Peta are going through valleys and peaks to get to the championship.” Way to focus on the positive!
