‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown’s Weight Loss Is Seriously Impressive!
Get it, mama!
It’s been eight months since Sister Wives star Janelle Brown embarked on her weight loss journey and she’s been documenting every step on social media! The mom-of-six knows how hard it is to find time to focus on herself while juggling her responsibilities as a mother and a wife — but she’s opening up about how great it feels to finally put herself first.
“Not looking all that great but wearing a happy smile because I made myself show up for the 4 pm class,” the 48-year-old wrote in the caption of a particularly sweaty post-gym selfie. “Now I can go home, take care of the family and feel at peace because I took care of myself.”

Janelle has been documenting her fitness and weight loss journey on social media and she posts regular blog updates about her progress. Earlier this month, she shared a story about how she faced her fears of working out in a group setting so that she could reach her fitness goals.
She explained that after eight months of settling into the same routine, she got a little too comfortable with her workouts and she got into a “rut.” To try to cure her restlessness and boredom, her accountability mentor said that she should try to push herself out of her comfort zone by signing up for a gym and take group fitness classes.
“I drove myself to the gym the first day and sat in my car,” she wrote in her blog post. “I purposely waited until it was too late to join the class I had scheduled to attend. Yep, I chickened out. I then texted my friend and said that I was late and didn’t make it in time. As I did this, I watched each and every single person go in to the class and I thought, ‘They were all in better shape than me and I don’t belong here.’ I was convinced that I should just go back to my familiar, predictable and not so scary workouts.”
But she decided to sign up for the next class and she actually did show up — and it looks like she’s really been enjoying her group sessions ever since.
Keep up the good work, Janelle!
