‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Ryan Edwards Is Reportedly Back In Rehab And Will Likely Miss His Son’s Birth
It seems like Ryan Edwards is making one more last-ditch effort to get healthy before his second child is born. On Oct. 1, new reports surfaced revealing that Ryan has allegedly checked himself into rehab just weeks before his wife Mackenzie Standifer‘s due date, and chances are, he’ll be missing the birth of his son.
“He entered rehab in Alabama about a month ago,” a source told Radar about Maci Bookout’s baby daddy. “Mackenzie moved out of the lake house they were in and is now living with her parents.” The insider explained that Ryan isn’t expected to leave the facility until February or March, so it’s unlikely that he will be there to help Mackenzie welcome their baby Jagger in October.
The news was confirmed by a second source, while a third admitted he hasn’t been seen for weeks, though they didn’t know where he was. It is unclear whether or not Mackenzie and Ryan are on good terms at the moment, though she’s certainly making it look like she still loves and supports him on Instagram.
On Sept. 14 she posted a photo of her and Ryan holding hands with the caption, “In all the world there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world there is no love for you like mine. -Maya Angelou.” She also posted a photo smooching her husband on Sept. 5, with just a black heart as the caption. Though in the most recent photo, she doesn’t appear to be pregnant, and there are no photos of her with Ryan while she has a big baby bump.
If he is in rehab, it’s likely that he’s still struggling with issues brought to light earlier this year when he was arrested for possession of heroin. The arrest came not long after Mackenzie announced her pregnancy, and just days after that, a woman came forward alleging that Ryan was hitting her up on Tinder. Hopefully, for his family’s sake, Ryan is getting the help he needs so he can be the best father possible.
