Were Prince William and Duchess Kate read for filth by an 87-year-old? Did Meghan Markle celebrate her 39th birthday even in the midst of the pandemic? All that and more in this week’s In Touch series, ‘Royal Rumors.’

In case you missed it, Prince William and Kate Middleton participated in a video call a few months ago with senior residents at Shire Hall Care Home in England. While on the virtual chat, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were hosting a weekly bingo game for the residents. Shortly thereafter, 87-year-old Joan Drew-Smith made headlines for saying the royal couple didn’t do a very good job. Recently, William and Kate visited the Shire Hall Care Home in person and were introduced to Ms. Smith.

“Hello, Joan, do you remember we did the bingo with you? You said we weren’t very good! the Duke said. She replied, “Yes. You did a bloody sh—y job.” The exchange was all in good fun and everyone present burst out into fits of laughter.

In other news, Meghan celebrated her birthday at home in L.A. this week. The 39-year-old celebrated with her mother Doria RaglandPrince Harry and their son Archie. According to Us Weekly, Harry got a bunch of balloons and a chocolate cake for the occasion. He also gifted Megan a necklace for her special day.

William and Kate also made sure to wish Meghan a happy birthday by posting a picture of her on Instagram sending her their best. However, royal fans are speculating that this was more than just a post of well wishes. Some are saying this was to make sure everyone is aware that there is no bad blood between the two couples as the book Finding Freedom is being released next week.
