Rob Kardashian just can’t seem to catch a break.

Just hours after it was reported that he was hospitalized and diagnosed with diabetes, TMZ is claiming he was also diagnosed with ketoacidosis — and is possibly on the verge of triggering a coma.

Ketoacidosis is characterized by a high concentration of ketone bodies, which are formed by the breakdown of fatty acid and deamination of amino acids; the condition can lead to diabetic coma or, in some cases, death.

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old reportedly has type 2 diabetes — and has allegedly been told that if he eats properly and follows a “healthy lifestyle,” the disease can be managed or potentially go into remission.

Radar claims Rob was unaware of his condition — and the reason he went to the hospital in the first place was unrelated to the disease.

“Rob found out he was diabetic after being admitted to the hospital, but that is not the reason that he went in to begin with,” a family insider says. “He was having trouble breathing and he was sweating profusely.”

While the insider doesn’t specify what it was that motivated the former reality star’s family to force him to seek help, they note that a few weeks prior an additional source called him “out of control,” and felt an intervention or a stint in rehab was imminent.
