We’re so thrilled to announce that Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Rasheeda is joining In Touch as a style and entertainment contributor — be sure to come back every Monday for a new post on all things gossip, fashion, and fun!

OMG!!!! I am so excited to write my second entry with all the amazing and historical events that happened this week in the fashion, music, television, and the film world. First, let me say that New York Fashion Week 2017 was simply breathtaking. I could write an entire blog about all the amazing designers that I totally loved such as Jonathan Simkhai, Alexander Wang, Pamella Roland, and Michael Costello just to name a few. Now let’s fly on over to the West Coast for the fabulous NAACP Image Awards and phenomenal 2017 Grammys weekend.

Black Couture Fabulousness dazzled the NAACP Image Awards Red Carpet from Issa Rae serving Black Girl Magic in Stella Nolasco, Tracee Ellis Ross in a sleek Ulyana Sergeenko dress to our stunning yet sexy Hidden Figures star Janelle Monae in Ashi Studio and Taraji P. Henson in Alexander Wang. Laverne Cox served us in a stunning Marc Bouwer embellished black gown, and the very next day she fearlessly stepped on The Grammy’s red carpet in a Bryan Hearst dress.

Since Beyoncé’s announcement of her pregnancy earlier this month with her twins we all patiently awaited her highly anticipated performance. She gracefully took the stage in a Roberto Cavalli, Oshun -inspired headpiece and dress. Congratulations are in order to Solange on winning her first Grammy, dressed in Iris Van Herpen. So excited for Chance The Rapper, who made history winning Best New Artist as a lyricist with NO label behind him. Other fashion notables were singer Mya, J. Lo, Demi Lovato, Rihanna (and her flask), and Chrissy Teigen. This red carpet season we saw a lot of rich colors such as navy, shades of red, green, and gold. I’m looking forward to inspiring my PRESSED shoppers with some looks mentioned above.

Until next week!

Xoxo,

Rasheeda
