The royal family just got a little bigger with the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s new baby. The happy couple finally shared the first photographs of their son (name not yet announced) and it’s the cutest thing you’ll see all week. The duchess has had a very different approach to pregnancy than her sister-in-law Kate Middleton, so fans weren’t sure what to expect once the baby arrived.

The proud parents released photos on the early morning of Wednesday, May 8, and their bundle of joy is just as precious as we were expecting. “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I mean, I have the 2 best guys in the world so I’m really happy,” Meghan gushed about her family.

Their new child’s life will most likely not be dictated by palace norms. “They plan to break tradition,” a source exclusively told Closer Weekly about how the new parents plan to raise their newborn. “Meghan is adamant that her baby follows her modern approach to life. She’s adamant that her child will be brought up as an open-minded individual.”

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering it was previously announced that their child — who will be seventh in line to the throne — will not have a royal title like the other tiny cousins Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months.

In addition, the source added that grandma (a.k.a Doria Ragland) will make the perfect caretaker. “Doria’s going to be her child’s nanny … The royals were insistent that she hire someone with international credentials and highly trained in security and self-defense, but Meghan was having none of it. It’s Doria or no one,” a separate palace insider revealed to Closer.

Once the baby gets a bit older, you can count on the idea that Meghan won’t hold up typical gender stereotypes. “Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was fluid,” an insider recently said. “She said they plan to raise their baby with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes.”

Whether it goes with royal tradition or not, Meghan and Harry will do their best to raise the happiest baby they can!
